80 Years of Growing Together Grant Application Form

To celebrate its 80th anniversary, the London Children’s Flower Society (LCFS) is delighted to launch 80 Years of Growing Together, a special funding programme for schools across London to create beautiful, biodiverse green spaces led by pupils.
We are inviting schools to apply for a grant of £500 to design and deliver a planting or greening project within their school grounds. This programme is all about pupil leadership, creativity and environmental action. Your pupils will lead the thinking, planning and presentation of their ideas, supported by staff, and show how their project will benefit biodiversity, wellbeing and the wider school community.
Projects can be any size; from window boxes and raised beds to wildlife corners and garden plots, as long as they are:
-
Biodiverse and wildlife-friendly
-
Designed to flower for as long as possible (ideally March–September)
-
Affordable within the £500 budget (schools may add their own funding if needed)
-
Able to make a real impact on your school environment and community
Applications must include visual evidence of your ideas, such as photos of the space, drawings, plans, presentations or short videos created by pupils.
Successful schools will receive funding in spring 2026, complete their projects by October 2026, and be invited to celebrate their achievements at our Awards Ceremony at the Guildhall on 5th November 2026.
This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to become environmental leaders, transform their surroundings and be part of a very special anniversary year.
We look forward to seeing your ideas grow.
