Friends’ Group visit to The Garden Museum, Lambeth

On Wednesday 23rd September 2015, Friends’ of the London Children’s Flower Society¬†visited the Garden Museum in Lambeth. We were given a guided tour of the museum by one of the volunteers and saw the final resting places of Captain Bligh of Mutiny on the Bounty fame, and also John Tradescant, the first great gardener and planter hunter in Britain.

The museum closes for refurbishment in October 2015 and hopes to reopen in early 2017.

With grateful thanks to Ann Maclennan, judge and friends’ group member, for organising our visit.
