Annual Awards Ceremony 2022
The 2022 Trophy Ceremony was due to take place originally on Wednesday 5th October 2022, but unfortunately had to be postponed due to the planned railway strikes. Instead, it took place on Wednesday 11th January 2023. The 2022 Trophy Ceremony was held in the Livery Hall at the Guildhall and once again we would very much like to thank the Chief Commoner, Mr Simon Duckworth and the Remembrancer’s office for allowing us to use this fantastic space.
This year 24 schools attended, and the awards were presented by Horticulturist, Author and Plant-Hunter Mr Tom Hart-Dyke and Master of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners, Mr John Gilbert. We invited the winner from our Design our Christmas Card Competition to come and receive their prize and for the first time we awarded a prize to celebrate our ‘Volunteer of the Year’, this went to Tony and Trish Thomson, for all their hard work over the years, visiting schools and judging on our behalf. Special thanks to representatives from The Royal Parks Lookout Discovery Centre, Hyde Park for bringing along their activities for the children.
