Spring Competition 2017

Applications for the 2017 Spring Bulb Competition have now closed. If you are one of the 134 schools that have entered our Competition this year then a huge thank you for your support and we hope your bulbs are growing well! We are in the process of allocating one of our fabulous judges to come and visit you and will be in touch very soon with their details. In the meantime please do read this super poem sent to us by Nina Dingwall from Pickhurst Junior School, thank you Nina!

Radiant yellow reflecting bright sunlight,
A golden middle,
but pale outside.
Sometimes orange,
but mostly lemon.

Tall and slender,
or small as a dwarf.
Shaped like a trumpet,
with a star behind it.longlands03

So many nicknames,
more than you can think of.
Cheerful and happy,
as you sit proudly in the garden.

A symbol of friendship,
the messenger of better days to come.
You help raise money for charity.
What would we do without you?

Waving at the wind,
to the birds songs.
Take a bow,
and fall in love with your reflection.
